We are the data controller for the personal information you provide when subscribing to this service.

What data we collect

When you sign up or use the service, we may collect:

• Your email address
• Your trade or profession
• Your name (optional)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card details)
• Basic usage data such as when you opened an email or clicked a link

We do not collect any data about people who appear in the leads we send you. Lead information is sourced from public registers (planning portals, building warrant records, public contract tender boards) and is already publicly available.

Why we collect it

We use your data to:

• Send your weekly digest of construction leads, filtered to your trade
• Process your subscription payment
• Send transactional emails (welcome, trial expiry, account changes)
• Improve the relevance of leads we match to your trade

We will never use your email address for unrelated marketing without your explicit consent.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the basis of:

• Contract performance — to deliver the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interests — to improve the service and maintain account security
• Consent — where you have opted in to optional communications

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run the platform. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf:

• Supabase — database hosting (EU servers)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Netlify — website and function hosting

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. We may retain anonymised usage statistics.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
